Pleasure and Happy



Pleasure: is an emotional state which lasts a short while. This emotion often occurs during physical engagemnt, like love making, massageing etc... also certain types of foods and activities can invoke this feeling like eating chocolate, having a bubble bath etc. Once whatever caused the "peasure" has ceased, the emotion stops at the same time or after a short time afterwards.

Happiness: is also an emotion, however it is more long term. Happiness is also a state, but is not induced by physical engagement. It is caused by a long term state for example, being in a loving relationship for a period of time, being comfortably well off without having to struggle, having no stress in your life.

Please note that even if you are not happy, i.e you are stressed out due to problems, you can still experience pleasure as this is a temporary state.

There was an interview on CNBC with Warren Buffet, the second richest man who has donated $31 billion to charity. Here are some very interesting aspects of his life:
1. He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!2. He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.3. He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha; he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.4. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him.5. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company.6. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis.He has given his CEO's only two rules. Rule number 1: do not lose any of your share holder's money. Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1.7. He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch Television.8. Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.9. Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.

Extremely sensitive to emotion

It is a very normal experience for practitioners to be sensitive towards their own emotions as well as the emotions of the people around them. During my initial stage of practicing deliberate attraction I am extremely sensitive to my emotion and the emotion of others. When one embarks on the journey of deliberate attraction, their awareness level will be higher then before thus enabling one to be aware of more emotional information then before. Before the practice one will just react towards the emotion of others and also their own emotion. If someone or some event makes a person feel happy then he will react by laughing and then spreading this good vibes to others around him. Now if some one or some event makes him feel unhappy then his day will be gone and he will take out his negative vibes machine gun and start shooting anyone that is in his path! You better stay away from him.

When you are able to aware your emotions and feelings, you have a better hand to manage your reaction towards both your emotions and your feelings. The reason for impulse reaction towards emotions and feelings is the incapability of the conscious mind to detect it; thus unable to manage it or not able to handle it even though are able to detect it. At that point the subconscious mind is in charge and that is your habit. The subconscious mind won’t know what is good or bad to you. It just executes a set of familiar reaction base on the emotion and feeling that you normal do.

Some habits are good and some are not so good. To deliberately attract the things that you want you have to have more good attractive habits and less of the habits that are blocking you towards your goals. Calmness of mind and self awareness is the first steps towards improving your habits. When a river is muddy and violent we can’t see what is beneath. A still and clear river will review the fishes, rocks and everything that is beneath. When your mind is calm your awareness will be strong, thus enable you to understand your very true self. Some of us might feel happy to see so many good things within and some might be frighten to see the limitations that they have. This is where the beginners will become very sensitive and immaterial events can sometime cause them to feel extremely happy or sad.

To overcome this sensitivity what I did was if I were to face anything negative emotion I will just observe the emotion and not to give any attention to it. Just observe your emotion like you are watching a movie and sooner or later the negative feeling will just subside and by doing so you can prevent attracting further negative people and events into your life.

Sometimes observing it seems to increase the negative emotion and we felt even more sad, disappointed or angry. This happen because instead of observing the negative thoughts in our mind with a neutral emotion, we accidentally give attention to it thus riding along the train of thought. Another way is to temporary do something that will not remind you of your negative emotion. Go have a holiday, go shopping, go watch a nice movie, go listen to your favorite music, eat your favorite food etc. Do something that will lead you to a positive emotional state or less negative emotional state. This doesn’t mean you are avoiding your challenges or problems, it just that you are shifting your attention away from it for awhile and when you are feeling much better go back to solve your challenges and learn something from the process.
